Comp Day definition

Comp Day means a day of work that is “earned” and attributed to a Pilot as a result of him/her working a day during his/her Respite or Vacation Period as further described in Section 16.4.4.1 herein.

Examples of Comp Day in a sentence

  • An Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) who works a “full day” beyond his/her regular work week shall be granted a Comp Day for said day worked provided that the APN notifies his/her supervisor in writing of the operational necessity to work beyond his/her regular work week and receives the supervisor’s prior approval to do so.

  • The Town will grant full shift Comp Day Leave to any requesting officers per shift, up to and including (one) 1 shift absence that results in hiring a replacement officer.

  • Comp Day – Day off to make up for parent teacher conferences outside of the regular work day.

  • The Parties agree to add the Comp Day expiration language that was agreed to during the 2016 negotiations to the new Agreement.

  • If an exempt employee is required to travel in connection with an out-of-area assignment on their regularly-scheduled day off, the Employee shall be eligible to receive a Comp Day.

  • If a non-exempt employee is required to travel in connection with an out-of-area assignment on their regularly-scheduled day off, the Employee shall be eligible to receive a Comp Day.

  • Compensatory Day: An Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) who works an additional “full day” beyond his/her regular work week in a single pay period (such time shall be calculated cumulatively within the pay period) shall be granted a Comp Day for said day worked, provided that the APN notifies his/her supervisor in writing of the operational necessity to work beyond his/her regular work week and receives the supervisor’s prior approval to do so.

  • Once the shift absence for Comp Day Leave requiring replacement has been granted, no additional Comp Day Leave will be granted without the approval of the Operations Bureau Commander.

  • An APN who works a "full day" beyond his/her regular work week shall be granted a Comp Day for said day worked provided that the APN notifies his/her supervisor in writing of the operational necessity to work beyond his/her regular work week and receives the supervisor's prior approval to do so.

  • If the Comp Time is approved, then once the Employee has accumulated 7 hours of Comp Time, the Employee must make an attempt to schedule the Comp Day by entering the time-off request in the Time Off Calendar.
