Community water definition

Community water means any and all rivers, streams, creeks, branches, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, drainage systems, springs, wetlands, wells and other bodies of surface or subsurface water, natural or artificial, lying within or forming a part of the boundaries of the City.

It may be necessary to use methodology from Standard Operating Procedures for Hydrologic Determinations (see rules to implement a certification program for Qualified Hydrologic Professionals, TN Rules Chapter 0400-40-17) to identify a community water.
Community water system ” means a public water supply system which serves at least fifteen (15) service connections used by year-round residents or regularly serves at least twenty- five (25) year-round residents.

  • DEP Rule 62-555.350(15), F.A.C., Operation and Maintenance of Public Water Systems, requires that Community Water Systems serving 350 or more persons or 150 or more service connections develop a written Disaster-Specific Preparedness/Response Plan (a.k.a. Emergency Response Plan) and update and implement the plan as necessary.
