communication assistance means oral or written interpretation of a language, written assistance, technological assistance, and any other assistance that enables or facilitates communication with a person who:
communication assistance means communication support services provided to Clients so these Clients can have access to cultural information and context to actively participate in the process without barriers. Services of Communication Assistance include but are not limited to document translation, assisting Clients to complete forms, compose letters/emails, make phone calls, and document reading for DeafBlind Clients.
(1) Examples of methods used for Communication Assistance provided to Clients include but are not limited to:
(a) American Sign Language;
(b) International Sign Language or Tactile Sign Language;
(c) Role play;
(d) Drawing and
(e) Elaborating or use of visual aids.
