Common Excavation definition

Common Excavation means the excavation of on-Site soils required by the Contract Documents, excluding Topsoil and Subsoil Stripping, Borrow Area Excavation, [Structure Excavation], Rock Excavation, and [Stockpile Excavation of Minister Supplied Materials].
Common Excavation means the excavation of on-Site soil materials as specified in the Contract Documents and as defined herein. Common Excavation excludes topsoil and subsoil stripping and rock excavation.
Common Excavation means the excavation of on-Site soils required by the Contract Documents, excluding Topsoil and Subsoil Stripping, Borrow Area Excavation, and Rock Excavation.

Examples of Common Excavation in a sentence

  • Unless specific items for Rock Excavation are included in the Bill of Quantities, earthwork will not be classified in accordance with the hardness of the excavated material and all excavation will be deemed to consist of Common Excavation, as defined hereafter, regardless of the actual hardness of the excavated material.

  • Should additional payment be required for Common Excavation due to design alterations or excavation to remove unsuitable material, payment to the Contractor will be made by taking the cubic metre bid price and dividing it by the quantity of design Common Excavation to obtain a per cubic metre unit price.

  • The payment shall be incidental to the work included in Common Excavation and shall include all other labour, material, equipment and products required to complete the work as shown in the contract drawings to the specified cross sections, grades and necessary finishing.

  • Common Excavation - The removal of all material not classified as rock excavation.
