Coming alongside definition
Coming alongside means talking through what practical help is needed, for example assembling debt-related paperwork, and sometimes even taking away bags of unopened post. They give the client a card to read out
Coming alongside also means dealing with other urgent problems that reflect the client’s financial troubles: for example, taking clients to a foodbank, or doing a food shop paid for directly from CAP or local church funds, or topping up an empty electric meter.
