If a uniform becomes damaged beyond repair during the course of College work, it will be replaced at no cost to the employee when the damaged item is returned to the College.
As deemed appropriate, the College may provide service vehicles for employees who are required to travel from one area to another to do College work.
On days that they are not actually serving on the jury, employees are expected to report for their regular work shift and return to the job if the College work day is not completed.

Employee organization leave for UUP meetings as provided above in Section 11.1 shall not be granted unless UUP provides the Director of the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations, or designee, wherever practicable, with 20 days’ advance notice of the purpose and dates for which leave is requested and the names and College work locations of employees for whom such leave is requested.
Each faculty member shall be required to participate in graduation exercises unless he has a College work schedule conflict or the faculty member is excused in advance by the Campus President.
An instructor is expected to be engaged in College work, including departmental meetings, or on tasks clearly in support of his/her program on non- contact days.
Albeit the nature of these activities reflects development needs and goals of individual Faculty Members, scheduled development activity constitutes College work that is supported by College resources for the ultimate benefit of the students served.
Members within the Bargaining Unit may be assigned on a temporary basis, not to exceed forty-five (45) working days, to any Hartnell College work sites within the District.
