College work definition

College work in this context includes but is not limited to teaching classes, serving on committees, or performing program chair duties. If an individual works for the college during sabbatical leave, each sabbatical term will be considered the same for that individual as a full one hundred percent (100%) sabbatical in terms of eligibility and use (i.e., a term of leave is a term of leave regardless of percent time of sabbatical or college work for that individual).

Examples of College work in a sentence

  • If a uniform becomes damaged beyond repair during the course of College work, it will be replaced at no cost to the employee when the damaged item is returned to the College.

  • As deemed appropriate, the College may provide service vehicles for employees who are required to travel from one area to another to do College work.

  • On days that they are not actually serving on the jury, employees are expected to report for their regular work shift and return to the job if the College work day is not completed.

  • Albeit the nature of these activities reflects development needs and goals of individual Faculty Members, scheduled development activity constitutes College work that is supported by College resources for the ultimate benefit of the students served.

  • Members within the Bargaining Unit may be assigned on a temporary basis, not to exceed forty-five (45) working days, to any Hartnell College work sites within the District.
