COBRA Subsidy definition

COBRA Subsidy means, subject to the Eligible Executive being eligible to elect COBRA Continuation coverage, the Company’s payment, in lump sum, of the amount equal to the cost of such Eligible Executive’s COBRA Continuation premiums that the Company and Eligible Executive would pay if he or she elects COBRA Continuation for the number of months specified in Schedule A, as attached to these Guidelines.

Examples of COBRA Subsidy in a sentence

  • The Executive shall be responsible for paying a share of such COBRA premiums during the COBRA Subsidy Period at active employee rates as in effect from time to time, and shall be responsible for the full unsubsidized costs of such COBRA coverage thereafter.

  • Executive shall be eligible for continuation of coverage for Executive and Executive’s eligible dependents under COBRA continuation of coverage provisions of the Company Group’s group health plans, at Executive’s sole expense at applicable COBRA rates, beginning upon the expiration of the COBRA Subsidy Period, for any remaining period required under COBRA.

  • The Company shall pay the COBRA Subsidy until the earliest of (a) the date Executive qualifies under another employer-sponsored medical plan, or (b) the end of eighteen (18) months of COBRA continuation coverage, or (c) the date on which the Severance Period ends.

  • The Company shall provide the COBRA Subsidy until the earliest of: (i) the twenty-four (24) month anniversary of the Termination Date, or (ii) the date Executive is no longer eligible to receive COBRA continuation coverage.

  • If the Company cannot provide the COBRA Subsidy without violating applicable law or is otherwise unable to continue to cover the Executive or the Executive’s dependents under its group health insurance plans, then the Company shall pay the Executive an equivalent monthly cash payment such that Executive receives, on an after-tax basis, the same amount reimbursement for COBRA benefits for a period of eighteen (18) months.

  • Following the COBRA Subsidy Cessation Date and for the remainder of the eighteen (18) month period described above, the Eligible Employee will be responsible for the full cost of any premiums associated with such coverage, in such amount as determined by the Plan Administrator.

  • If at any time during the COBRA Subsidy Period, Employee discontinues coverage or is no longer eligible for coverage for any reason, the subsidy provided by the Company will immediately cease.

  • The subsidy will be the difference between the COBRA rate and the active employee rate, leaving Employee responsible only for the amount that an active employee would pay during the COBRA Subsidy Period.

  • You will be provided with a copy of the Separation Agreement and Release after the Bankruptcy Court approves the Severance Pay, Outplacement Services, and COBRA Subsidy.

More Definitions of COBRA Subsidy

COBRA Subsidy means an amount equal to the Participant’s monthly post-employment premium for health and welfare benefits under the Consolidated OmnibusBudget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”) less the amount the Participant paid for such benefits as an active employee. To be eligible for the COBRA Subsidy, the Participant must be enrolled in the Participating Employer’s health and welfare plans on the Termination Date.
COBRA Subsidy shall have the meaning given to such term in Section 6.13(b).
COBRA Subsidy means the benefits described in Section 4.3 (COBRA Subsidy).
COBRA Subsidy shall have the meaning set forth in Section 7(a)(iii).

Related to COBRA Subsidy

  • COBRA Continuation Coverage means the health care benefit continuation coverage mandated by the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act and similar provisions of state law.

  • COBRA Coverage means continued medical and dental coverage under the Company’s benefit plans, as determined under section 4980B of the Code.

  • COBRA means the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985, as amended.

  • COBRA Continuation Period means the continuation period for medical and dental insurance to be provided under the terms of this Agreement which shall commence on the first day of the calendar month following the month in which the date of termination falls and generally shall continue for an 18 month period.

  • Welfare Benefits means the types of benefits described in Section 3(1) of ERISA (whether or not covered by ERISA).

  • Health and Welfare Benefits means any form of insurance or similar benefit programs, which may include but not be limited to, medical, hospitalization, surgical, prescription drug, dental, optical, psychiatric, life, or long-term disability.

  • Gap medical benefits means the benefits (if any) payable in respect of medical expenses that are less than, greater than or equal to the schedule fee, provided always that the medical expenses relate to a professional service that:

The “monthly fair market value” of such benefits shall be equal to the monthly cost as if such persons elected COBRA continuation coverage at such time at their own expense.
