CMMI definition

CMMI means the U.S. Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation;
CMMI meansCapability Maturity Model Integration, a process improvement training and appraisal program and service administered and marketed by Carnegie Mellon University and required by many DoD and U.S. Government contracts, especially in software development.
CMMI shall have the meaning specified in Section 7.1(f).

Examples of CMMI in a sentence

  • If only part of a Contractor’s organization is CMMI certified, the Contractor shall make the distinction between which business units or sites and geographic locations have been certified.

  • Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a 5 level approach to improve processes across projects, divisions, or an entire organization in the areas of acquisition, services, and/or development.

  • For example, if a Contractor received an evaluation credit for having an Approved Purchasing System and CMMI Level 3 certification at time of award, then the Contractor must maintain an Approved Purchasing System and CMMI Level 3 certification level or higher for the life of OASIS SB.

  • CMMI Certification is not mandatory; however, Contractors are encouraged to have CMMI Maturity Level 2 or higher in acquisition, services, and/or development during the entire term of OASIS SB.

  • If either Party does not sign a Participation Agreement with CMMI prior to the Effective Date of this Arrangement, then this Arrangement shall be deemed null ab initio.
