CMDP operates in the same manner as other AACP Health Plans, but children in ▇▇▇▇▇▇ care who receive acute care services will be enrolled in CMDP instead of other Health Plans.
CRS eligible ▇▇▇▇▇▇ children will receive services for all conditions other than behavioral health or CRS related conditions through CMDP.
Children with a CRS condition who are enrolled in CMDP will receive treatment for their CRS and behavioral health care conditions through the CRS contractor.
The Contractor will maintain a current roster of children enrolled in CMDP (Comprehensive Medical and Dental Plan) and provide CPSA with a list monthly by the 15th of the month for the previous month.

CMDP may not disenroll because of an adverse change in the member’s health status, or because of the member’s utilization of medical services, diminished mental capacity, or uncooperative or disruptive behavior resulting from his or her special needs [42 CFR 438.56(d)(5)(iii)].
Children who are enrolled with CMDP when placed temporarily in detention may remain Title XIX or Title XXI eligible.
The purpose of the contract between AHCCCS and the Contractor is to implement and operate the provisions of the Comprehensive Medical and Dental Program (CMDP) approved under A.R.S. §36-2901 et seq.
