How structured as follows: (i) Usually developed and maintained by one company, (ii) Source code is not publicly available, (iii) Licenses define the terms and conditions for the usage Duration A Closed-Source Software project has a life-time of weeks to years depending on the size and the features.
Open Source Software means any software generally distributed publicly in source code form under any license that is listed at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇.▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/licenses or that complies with the Open Source Definition available at ▇▇▇▇://▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇.▇▇▇/osd. Open Source Material includes software that is licensed under the GNU General Public License, GNU Lesser General Public License, Mozilla Public License, Apache License, or BSD License.
Company Software means Software owned or purported to be owned by or developed by or for the Company or any Company Subsidiary.
Public Software means any Software that contains, or is derived in any manner (in whole or in part) from, any software that is distributed as free software, open source software (e.g., Linux) or similar licensing or distribution models, including, without limitation, software licensed or distributed under any of the following licenses or distribution models, or licenses or distribution models similar to any of the following: (A) GNU’s General Public License (GPL) or Lesser/Library GPL (LGPL), (B) the Artistic License (e.g., PERL), (C) the Mozilla Public License, (D) the Netscape Public License, (E) the Sun Community Source License (SCSL), (F) the Sun Industry Standards License (SISL), (G) the BSD License, and (H) the Apache License.
Open Source Materials means software or other material that is distributed as “free software,” “open source software” or under similar licensing or distribution terms (including the GNU General Public License (GPL), GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL), Mozilla Public License (MPL), BSD licenses, the Artistic License, the Netscape Public License, the Sun Community Source License (SCSL) the Sun Industry Standards License (SISL) and the Apache License).
Service Software means any and all software applications and any third-party or other software, and all new versions, updates, revisions, improvements and modifications of the foregoing, that Contractor provides remote access to and use of as part of the Services.
