clinically equivalent drug.. “Clinically equivalent drug” means a drug that for most individuals will give You similar results for a disease or condition. If You have questions about whether a certain drug is covered by the Plan please call the Member Services number on the back of Your Optima identification card. If You or Your doctor believes You need to use a different Prescription Drug, please have Your doctor contact Us. If We agree that it is Medically Necessary and appropriate We will cover the other Prescription Drug instead of the “clinically equivalent drug.”
