They will be expected to demonstrate their expertise through the development and maintenance of: protocols; clinical reviews; teaching and delivery of in-service for the department or service; presentations of papers/publications related to their area of expertise at departmental level and at conferences at national or international level; and being called on in an advisory capacity to assist other clinical staff with difficulties encountered within specific situations relating to their area of expertise.
