Client orientation definition

Client orientation means consistently having the client’s perspective in mind. Rather than organizing business processes above all to make sure that they run as smoothly as possible within the administration – which of course is also important – it means to look at everything from the perspective of one’s target audience, i.e. persons who need something from the administration. What should be done to make sure they can find the right contact person as quickly and easily as possible? To reduce waiting times or distances to walk? What can be handled via the Internet? What should be done to make sure clients receive the desired response as quickly as possible? A modern public administration places client and service orientation first.
