CLAD definition

CLAD. – means the Corporate and Legal Affairs Directorate of the Company.

Examples of CLAD in a sentence

  • The individual(s) providing this support must hold a valid California Teaching Credential with a valid English Learner Authorization or Crosscultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate.

  • For the purpose of column advancement, the following credentials are not counted: Emergency or limited term credentials; and credentials that include English Learner authorization without CLAD or BCLAD emphasis.

  • A unit member that is receiving the CLAD stipend as of July 1, 2007 shall continue to receive an annual stipend of $500.

  • An additional 45 hours per year (23 hours per semester) of support/mentoring and supervision specific to meeting the needs of English learners is required for an Intern Teacher who enters the program without a valid English learner authorization listed on a previously issued Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist Teaching Credential or a valid English Learner Authorization or Crosscultural, Language and Academic Development (CLAD) Certificate.

  • A unit member employed by the District after January 1, 2008 shall not receive an annual stipend for CLAD.

  • SSP shall hold a valid Clear or Life Credential in the content area for which they are providing supervision, three years of successful teaching experience, hold a valid English Learner Authorization or CLAD Certificate issued pursuant to section 80015 or valid bilingual authorization issued pursuant to section 80015.1, and must have demonstrated exemplary teaching practices.

  • A vacancy which occurs because a teacher elects voluntary displacement rather than signing to pursue CLAD or BCLAD will be posted as requiring agreement to obtain CLAD or BCLAD certification.

  • Permanent Teachers who have been employed at least ten (10) years with the District, hold their Cross- Cultural Language and Academic Development (CLAD), are highly qualified as defined in 20 U.S.C. Section 7801 (ESEA), and whose previous evaluation rated the employee as meeting or exceeding standards (“Satisfactory” in accordance with the OVTA Evaluation Plan), may be evaluated every five (5) years if the unit member and evaluator consent to this schedule.

  • Employees who have obtained a CLAD or BCLAD credential and were employed by the District prior to July 1, 2008 shall receive a stipend in accordance with the stipend table in Appendix A.

  • Each job posting which will include FTE, school site, grade level or subject and other specific credential or program identification (i.e., bilingual, CLAD, special education) if applicable, will be advertised electronically by posting on the District certificated conference (or successor electronic communication system) and sent by e-mail to each teacher’s District e-mail address.
