CHIS definition

CHIS means a covert human intelligence source;
CHIS means the national Child Health Information System which is a patient administration system that provides a clinical record for Children and Young People to support a variety of child health and related activities and statutory functions

Examples of CHIS in a sentence

  • A combined authorisation can be given for a CHIS and also directed surveillance.

  • Persons who complain about anti-social behaviour, and are asked to keep a diary, will not normally be a CHIS, as they are not required to establish or maintain a relationship for a covert purpose.
