Child Development Services definition

Child Development Services or “CDS”: Birth to three services are designed to meet the developmental needs of each eligible child and the needs of the family related to enhancing the child’s development. Services may include specialized instruction, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, assistive technology, and vision services. Services are provided in natural environments to the maximum extent appropriate.

  • This provision is applicable to all employees including Child Development Services.

  • By June 30th of each year, a unit member interested in transferring to another site for the following program year shall submit a transfer request to the Executive Director of Child Development Services to be considered for the upcoming program year.

  • All contract certificated employees whether employed in regular session or summer school session including Adult School teachers, Child Development Services teachers, Counselors, Early Childhood Special Education teachers, Librarians, Nurses, CTE teachers, substitute teachers, temporary teachers, Speech and Language Pathologists, and Student Support Advisors, but excluding those listed in section two (2) below.
