Chief Crown Prosecutor definition

Chief Crown Prosecutor means a person designated as such under section 1(4) of the Prosecution of Offences Act 1985;

  • A “virtual” 43rd Area, CPS Direct, is also headed by a Chief Crown Prosecutor and it provides an out-of-hours charging service.
