Charter Van definition

Charter Van means a chauffeured vehicle with the original manufacturer designed capacity of at least nine (9) persons, including the driver, with maximum of fifteen (15) persons.

Examples of Charter Van in a sentence

  • That the applicant is free of uncorrectable-defective vision, uncorrectable-defective hearing, epilepsy, vertigo, heart trouble, communicable social diseases and any other infirmity, physical or mental, which in the opinion of the Chief of Police would render them unfit for the safe operation of a Charter Bus or Charter Van.

  • The rights of Franchisee hereunder are non-exclusive and the City fully retains the right to grant additional franchises for the provision of Charter Bus or Charter Van services in Gulf Shores.

  • No television or other video viewing device visible to the driver of a Charter Bus or Charter Van may be operated in a moving vehicle.

  • City Operator’s Permit shall mean a permit issued by the Chief of Police or his designee to a driver for the operation of a Charter Bus or Charter Van.

  • No driver shall sleep or doze in any Charter Bus or Charter Van in any public place in the City.

  • A driver may not sell or provide an alcoholic beverage or controlled substance to a passenger in a Charter Bus or Charter Van.

  • Two (2) prints shall be made of each picture, one of which shall be retained by the Chief of Police, and the other shall be furnished to the driver to be attached to the form furnished by the Chief of Police for display in the Charter Bus or Charter Van driven by such driver, as provided in this article.

  • Franchisee shall not permit any driver of any Charter Bus or Charter Van to solicit any person, either in or out of the vehicle, for transport to any place for the purpose of participation in any criminal act.

  • The City hereby grants to Franchisee a nonexclusive Franchise to provide Charter Service utilizing not more than two (2) Charter Buses and not more than one (1) Charter Van within the corporate limits of the City on the terms hereafter set out.

Related to Charter Van

  • Charter Capital means the amount of capital contributed by all Shareholders and mentioned in Article 5 of this Charter.

  • Charter school means a school established pursuant to P.L.1995, c.426 (C.18A:36A-1 et seq.). "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of Environmental Protection.

  • Charter contract or "contract" means a fixed-term, renewable contract

  • Charter Agreement means an agreement made in accordance with Section 53G-5-303 that authorizes the operation of a charter school.

  • Charter service means a railway passenger service, whether operated on the same routes as the Passenger Services or not: (a) which is not reflected in the Timetable; (b) which does not conform to the pattern of railway passenger services normally provided by the Franchisee; (c) for which the advance booking or booking arrangements for seats on the relevant service are, in the reasonable opinion of the Secretary of State, materially different from those generally applicable to the Passenger Services; (d) for which tickets are available on a restricted basis or on terms and conditions which, in the reasonable opinion of the Secretary of State, are materially different from those generally applicable to the Passenger Services; and/or (e) for which the departure time, journey time and calling pattern are, in the reasonable opinion of the Secretary of State, materially different from those of the Passenger Services, and which, in the opinion of the Secretary of State, is not a railway passenger service provided by the Franchisee as part of the Passenger Services;
