Once an employee is eligible, Fire Prevention Officers who perform advanced fire plans examination duties as defined in Section 2.16 and maintain the appropriate certification as a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) within the Department, shall receive 8% of base pay when assigned by the Fire Chief, or designee, to perform advanced fire plans examination duties and responsibilities.
