Fringe benefits for which the State does not bill the State Military Department directly, such as workmen’s compensation, unemployment compensation, State sponsored life and health insurance, and retirement benefits are allowable if they are part of the State’s Central Service Cost Allocation Plan (CSCAP) approved by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
Note: Governmental units with only a Central Service Cost Rate must also include the indirect cost of the governmental units department (i.e. HHSC).
As a condition of employment, employees will be required to successfully complete an approved Central Service or Surgical Tech Training course within one (1) year of employment.
These employees are grandfathered, and will be encouraged to complete Central Service or Surgical Tech Training, if they have not already done so.
