CemOC Team definition
CemOC Team means a team consisting of an obstetrics/gynecology specialist or a general practitioner trained in obstetric emergency or management of obstetric complications, an anesthesiologist or trained general practitioner, operating room nurses or surgical midwives, and a medical technologist, which team is equipped to handle comprehensive obstetric emergencies such as Caesarian sections and blood transfusions and is based at a hospital meeting the standards for a Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care Center.
