Casuals definition

Casuals means people whose name appears on the list of people registered to work with The Council on an ‘as and when required basis’.
Casuals means who are employed as required by Group (Refer to Appendix A) Employee” means a newly hired serving a probationary period.

Examples of Casuals in a sentence

  • Casuals shall not be discriminated against for future employment.

  • B Employees shall be selected to work on a holiday within each category in the following order: B1 Casuals, even if overtime is required.

  • Casuals who have been engaged for more than 3 months are entitled to payment.

  • Casuals shall not be covered under the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Casuals are limited to two (2) ninety (90) day terms of casual employment in a calendar year.

  • Casuals receive 20% loading to compensate for not getting public holidays, sick leave, redundancy, leave loading, annual leave, wet weather, on ordinary hours only.

  • During the 2008/2009 bargaining process the parties agreed to change the seniority provisions of the collective agreement so as to establish a permanent Company seniority date for all current Casuals and future Employees.

  • Casuals performing assignments, that were not first offered to other bargaining unit members, on the basis of seniority, may not rely on “qualifications” gained from that work in any future job postings.

  • Casuals will be credited with hours worked and a seniority date will be established at the date of selection.

  • Casuals shall not have seniority status and shall not be discriminated against for future employment.
