captive generation means generation of electricity for the purpose of consumption by the generator and which is consumed by the generator itself and not sold to a third party;
captive generation means an energy generated from a ‘Captive Generating Plant’ defined in clause (8) of section-2 of the Electricity Act, 2003 and the rules made thereunder by the Central Government in this behalf ;
