Campus Residence definition

Campus Residence means a physical building designed and equipped for the accommodation of students and situated on the Vaal Triangle Campus. . There are five such campus residences: Jasmyn Ladies’ Residence, Vergelegen Gents’ Residence, Thuthuka (ladies and gents), Horizon and Kumba.

  • All first-year freshmen living on Main Campus (Residence Halls, North Quad, or Promontory), and any licensee regardless of class status living in the Residence Halls, must have one of the 3 Otter dining plans that offer full meal access each week.

  • In the event the University terminates the Agreement due to public health concerns, the University may offer fair and reasonable reimbursements for impacted students as appropriate and based on information available at that time and provided that the resident has removed their belongings and returned their key to the applicable Campus Residence Life Service Office.

  • Cooking is prohibited in all residence halls, except in kitchen areas in Bayside Courts, Almeida and North Campus Residence Hall and only as designated by the Department of Residence Life and Housing.

  • Microwaves, toaster ovens, hot plates, fry pans, indoor grills and other cooking appliances are allowed only in the private kitchens at Almeida, Bayside and North Campus Residence Hall.
