Cable Modem definition

Cable Modem means cable modem which is within the list of qualified equipment of HKC;
Cable Modem. This service is without QOS or SLAs. The transport provider and the portal provider are the same vendor. Download bandwidth (from the portal to the site) are faster than Upload Bandwidth (from site to portal).
Cable Modem means an electronic device, commonly referred to as such, which acts as an interface between the System and a Subscriber’s customer premises equipment and allows data communications to be sent and received by the Subscriber.

Cable Modem means an electronic device, commonly referred to as such, at a minimum, containing a modulator and demodulator, tuner, interface, media access control mechanism and CPU, which acts as an interface between a Subscriber’s customer premises equipment and the System and is capable of converting analog signals to digital signals and digital signals to analog to analog signals, thereby allowing data communications to be carried over System facilities.
Cable Modem means CPE computer peripheral devices for ----------- bidirectional data communications with the headend of a cable television distribution network, over the coaxial or HFC (hybrid fiber-coax) cables of the cable television distribution network, including cable modem routers.

  • Cable System or “System” means a facility, consisting of a set of closed transmission paths and associated signal generation, reception, and control equipment that is designed to provide Cable Service which includes Video Programming and which is provided to multiple Subscribers within a community, but such term does not include:

  • Interconnection Activation Date means the date that the construction of the joint facility Interconnection arrangement has been completed, trunk groups have been established, joint trunk testing is completed and trunks have been mutually accepted by the Parties.

  • Transmission Interconnection Customer means an entity that submits an Interconnection Request to interconnect or add Merchant Transmission Facilities to the Transmission System or to increase the capacity of Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with the Transmission System in the PJM Region or an entity that submits an Upgrade Request for Merchant Network Upgrades (including accelerating the construction of any transmission enhancement or expansion, other than Merchant Transmission Facilities, that is included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan prepared pursuant to Operating Agreement, Schedule 6).

  • Switched Access Service means an offering of facilities for the purpose of the origination or termination of traffic from or to Exchange Service customer in a given area pursuant to a Switched Access tariff. Switched Access Services include: Feature Group A, Feature Group B, Feature Group D, 800 Series, and 900 access. Switched Access does not include traffic exchanged between LECs for purpose of local exchange interconnection.

  • Qualifying Transmission Upgrade means a proposed enhancement or addition to the Transmission System that: (a) will increase the Capacity Emergency Transfer Limit into an LDA by a megawatt quantity certified by the Office of the Interconnection; (b) the Office of the Interconnection has determined will be in service on or before the commencement of the first Delivery Year for which such upgrade is the subject of a Sell Offer in the Base Residual Auction; (c) is the subject of a Facilities Study Agreement executed before the conduct of the Base Residual Auction for such Delivery Year and (d) a New Service Customer is obligated to fund through a rate or charge specific to such facility or upgrade.
