C Shift definition

C Shift means the working hours from 2300 to 0800 hours with one-hour meal break everyday from Mondays to Sundays including a General Holiday;
C Shift means the scheduled work hours of 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

Examples of C Shift in a sentence

  • C) Shift operators and laboratory technicians, who have been traditionally employed on these holidays, shall be granted one day off as compensation for each contract holiday.

  • For purposes of bidding of shift assignments, a shift shall be defined as, A Shift, B Shift, C Shift, and D Shift.

  • On a twenty-four (24) hour shift beginning one (1) or two (2) days earlier than the employee's next regularly scheduled shift as a result of a reassignment from A Shift to B Shift, or B Shift to C Shift, etc.

  • If an officer requests a transfer from a specialized unit to the A, B, or C Shift, the officer being transferred from the specialized unit will be assigned to the shift from which his replacement came.

  • If an employee on A-Shift has been determined that he/she will be absent more than two (2) shifts due to long term illness or injury, then the personnel of the same rank equitably and evenly on both B & C Shift shall be offered the overtime to cover the shifts; a ratio of 1 to 1, C-Shift would be offered the first holdover opportunity and B-Shift would be offered the next holdover opportunity.

  • C- Shift shall commence between 1400 and 1600; D-Shift shall commence between 1000 and 1200; E-Shift shall commence between 1800 and 2000; and F-Shift shall commence between 0200 and 0400.

  • Police Officers with at least four years of continuous service, assigned to A or C shift in the initial bid for hours, and subsequently assigned to UPB patrol area positions may be restricted to A or C Shift within the group of Police Officers assigned to UPB patrol area positions, in order to comply with the “four-year rule” described in Section 5 of the current collective bargaining agreement.

  • The shifts would be scheduled either Tuesday – Saturday or Sunday – Thursday with the employees having two consecutive days off; and • Third Shift (or C Shift) with work hours starting after 8:00 PM and ending before 7:00 AM.

  • The mandatory overtime list will be posted on the overtime board on Thursday, no later than 8:00 AM for A Shift and 6:30 PM for C Shift.

  • C) Shift premiums at the applicable rates will be paid for all hours worked and for vacation, floaters, lieu days and authorized absence days for all permanent shift employees.

Related to C Shift

  • Day Shift means a shift which commences at or after 6.00 am and before 10.00 am. "Afternoon shift" means a shift which commences at or after 10.00 am and before 4.00 pm.

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight.

  • Shift means a daily tour of duty exclusive of overtime hours.

  • Split shift means a work schedule, which is interrupted by non-paid non-working periods established by the employer, other than bona fide rest or meal periods.

  • Night Shift means a shift which commences at or after 4.00 pm and before 6.00 am on the day following.
