B.U.R definition

B.U.R means Base Usage Rate and is the figure by reference to which additional usage fees to the usage fees stated on the Photographer's original Estimate as accepted by the Client are established.
B.U.R or “Basic Unscheduled Repair” means any basic unplanned removal, premature removal of a LRU or a Main Element, due to a sub-component or accessory induced malfunction. Likewise, removal of a LRU and/or a Main Element, component or accessory due to a problem which could have been rectified using troubleshooting and/or corrective line maintenance actions as specified in the applicable aircraft and/or the respective OEM maintenance manual is not considered to be a BUR;
B.U.R means Basic Unplanned Removal, the premature removal of the Engine or Engine Module due to an Engine, Component or Line Replaceable Units (LRU) induced malfunction. Likewise, removal of an Engine, Component or Accessory due to a problem which could have been rectified using troubleshooting and/or corrective line maintenance actions as specified in the applicable aircraft and/or Engine Maintenance Manual or, due to the failure of the Operator to use and maintain such Engine, Component or Accessory in accordance with applicable Flight Manuals and Engine Maintenance Manuals, and other applicable manufacturer’s recommendations and instructions, is not considered to be a BUR;
