Bumped definition

Bumped member who is not eligible to “bump” anyone in accordance with this Paragraph shall be suspended; and v) a member who elects to “bump” outside of the member’s classification but within the same classification series as defined herein shall be placed on the salary schedule of the “bumped-into” position at the same step that the member held in the suspended position.
Bumped employees are those who have been replaced in their current assignment by a more senior employee.
Bumped individuals shall immediately regain bid rights, and the position they were bumped from shall be posted as open for bid.
