Braceman definition

Braceman means a person who is appointed by the manager to be stationed at the shaft top to supervise the loading and unloading of men and materials in a shaft conveyance and to give the necessary signals to the hoist driver and cageman;
Braceman means any employee in charge of a cage or kibble at the mouth of a shaft. If there is more than one cage, each employee shall be classed as a braceman, but shall not include any employee who may be temporarily assisting a braceman or skipman.
