BOP Shop definition
BOP Shop means the place where steel making operations occur, beginning with the transfer of molten iron (hot metal) from the torpedo car and ending just prior to casting the molten steel, including hot metal transfer, desulfurization, slag skimming, refining in a basic oxygen process furnace, and ladle metallurgy. See 40 C.F.R. § 63.7852.
