BMBL definition

BMBL means the “Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories”, which is incorporated by reference in Regulation .04 of this chapter.
BMBL means the current edition of Department of Health and Human Services Center for Disease Control (CDC) Publication No. 21-1112, entitled Biosafety in Microbiological and Biomedical Laboratories.

  • If there is ambiguity in the BMBL guidelines and/or there is disagreement among the BMBL, an IBC or equivalent body, or institutional biosafety official, the highest recommended containment level must be used.
