Blocking Order definition

Blocking Order means an order pursuant to section 74 of the Fair Trading Act 1973 precluding the doing of things which in the opinion of the Secretary of State might prejudice a relevant Competition Commission reference or impede the taking of any action under the Fair Trading Act 1973 which may be warranted by the Competition Commission's report on such a reference and which are required to be done to facilitate or effect Completion or the actual receipt by the Vendor of the cash amounts referred to in clause 5.6; the meaning ascribed to it in clause 5.1(a);
