Blank Day definition

Blank Day is as explained in subclause 3.2.13.
Blank Day means a day that is not a duty day, Reserve day, RDO or a leave day. It means a day when VARA has not assigned a duty to the Pilot and where the Pilot is not required to be available for duty.
Blank Day means a Calendar day that at the time of roster publish is an ordinary work day at the Flight Attendant’s home base, on which a Duty (including an Airport reserve duty or a Home reserve span), or a Designated day off, or a leave day has not and will not be assigned (but can be awarded).

Examples of Blank Day in a sentence

  • Where an employee is rostered to work on a Blank Day (as shown on the Master ▇▇▇▇▇▇) and an alternate Blank Day is not shown prior to the roster being posted, the shift rostered on the Blank Day is to be highlighted as the overtime shift and paid in accordance with subclauses 3.3.3 c) or 3.3.3 d).

  • Where a rostered Duty is completely removed due to sickness, Fatigue, or Disruption, the original date of the Blank Day may be replaced with an Open or Standby Duty and utilised in accordance with this Agreement.

  • Where a Pilot agrees to attend a meeting on a DDO, Blank Day, Offline Day or Annual Leave Day, they will not be entitled to a working on a DDO, Blank Day, Offline Day or Annual Leave Day payment under clause 38 or clause 25 of Appendix 2 – Part-Time Arrangements as applicable for doing so, although the Pilot will be eligible for allowances as per clause 46 (where applicable).

  • Base Rate of Pay the rate of pay payable to an Employee in accordance with Blank Day a day that an Employee is not rostered for any duties or absence, including RDOs, approved ▇▇▇▇, DFODs, Flying Duties, Stand-By, Simulator Duties, rostered training, rostered checking activities, Ground Duties, rostered courses and approved leave.

  • Blank Day Means a notation in a roster covering a period from 0001 to 2359 during which an employee may be rostered to work Ordinary Hours.

  • Where a Pilot agrees to attend a meeting on a DDO, Blank Day, Offline Day or Annual Leave Day, they will not be entitled to a working on a DDO, Blank Day, Offline Day or Annual Leave Day payment under clause 37 or clause 25 of Appendix 2 – Part-Time Arrangements as applicable for doing so, although the Pilot will be eligible for allowances as per clause 45 (where applicable).

  • A Pilot may agree to attend a meeting on a DDO, Blank Day, Offline Day or Annual Leave Day, however they cannot be required to attend on this day.

  • A Pilot is not required to be contactable on a Blank Day, and may work on a Blank Day by agreement only.

  • Where a Pilot is called to perform Work (defined in clause 113.1 above) on a DDO, Blank Day or annual leave day but that Work is cancelled less than two (2) hours before the nominated sign on time for the duty, the Pilot will receive payment at the Hourly Rate for two (2) hours pay.

  • Where a Pilot is called to perform Work (defined in clause 38.1 below) on a DDO, Blank Day or Annual Leave Day but that Work is cancelled less than two (2) hours before the nominated sign on time for the Duty, the Pilot will receive payment at the Productivity Rate for two (2) hours pay as outlined in clause 34.1.
