Black Start Service definition

Black Start Service means the capability of generating units to start without an outside electrical supply or the demonstrated ability of a generating unit with a high operating factor (subject to Transmission Provider concurrence) to automatically remain operating at reduced levels when disconnected from the grid.
Black Start Service means the provision of service needed to energize a defined portion of the Transmission Owner’s Transmission System, including the start up of the Generation Resources and/or other generators, in accordance with the Transmission Provider’s or Transmission Owner’s Black Start Plan when local power from the Transmission System is unavailable or insufficient.
Black Start Service means the obligations of the Generator more particularly referred to in Sub-Clause 4.8 (which shall be in addition to and without prejudice to the Generator’s obligations under the Grid Code with regard to Black Start Capability), to include in addition the procedure for running down and testing of Plant in Reproving Assessments;

More Definitions of Black Start Service

Black Start Service means the capability to provide Energy during a Black Start event.
Black Start Service means the services provided by DMG to Illinois Power under the terms of this Agreement to deliver electric energy to Illinois Power at the Interconnection Point(s) following a Blackout.
