Biomedical Wastes definition

Biomedical Wastes means including sharps or medical instruments, anatomical parts, dressings, bandages or other infected materials from hospitals, surgeries, or offices of physicians, surgeons, dentists or veterinarians;
Biomedical Wastes means biomedical waste as defined in the Ontario Ministry of Energy and the Environment Guideline C-4 entitled "The Management of Biomedical Waste in Ontario" dated April 1994, as amended, or any successor guideline thereto;
Biomedical Wastes means all chemical, pharmaceutical, "sharps" and other such waste generated by institutions such as hospitals, health units, medical and dental clinics, laboratories, animal clinics, etc.

Examples of Biomedical Wastes in a sentence

  • Biohazardous or Biomedical Wastes shall mean those wastes which may cause disease or reasonably be suspected of harboring pathogenic organisms; including, but not limited to, waste resulting from the operation of medical clinics, hospitals, and other facilities producing wastes which may consist of, but are not limited to, diseased human and animal parts, contaminated bandages, pathological specimens, hypodermic needles, contaminated clothing and surgical gloves.

  • All such personnel shall be trained in the identification and proper handling and disposal of Hazardous and Biomedical Wastes.

  • In the event the CM/GC shall have issued the "Notice of Readiness for Interim Inspection for Punchlist Completion " prematurely, hereinafter referred to as a "false start," the CM/GC shall be liable for the damage resulting from the false start including, but not limited to, the salaries, professional fees, and travel and living expenses of the persons or parties inconvenienced by the false start.
