Biological Specimens definition

Biological Specimens means human biologic specimens that the Statement of Work (SOW) requires VA to collect or provide to the Collaborator.
Biological Specimens or “specimens” means all specimens from, or derived from, Australian animals, regardless of whether they were collected from field or laboratory situations and whether they are fresh, fixed or processed.
Biological Specimens mean human biologic specimens that the Protocol requires VA to collect and provide to the Collaborator.

  • It is acknowledged that the nature of the work performed by the casual Forensic Nurse Examiner and Forensic Nurse (Biological Specimens) Employees is of an ad hoc unpredictable nature and spread across various locations.

  • The Requester agrees through the submission of the Data Access Request (DAR) that the PI named in the DAR has reviewed and understands the principles for responsible research use and data handling of the PDBP datasets as defined in the NIH Data Sharing Policy and the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy as detailed in this Data Use Agreement (DUA) and in the NINDS ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇’▇ Disease Biomarker Data and Biological Specimens Approved User Code of Conduct.

  • Biological Samples means any physical samples obtained from Study Participants in accordance with the Protocol for the purposes of the Study.

  • Tissue means a portion of the human body other than an organ or an eye. The term does not include blood unless the blood is donated for the purpose of research or education.
