BGAN Service definition

BGAN Service means Broadband Global Area Network Service (or any successor service) that provides voice and broadband data service, accessed by MESs communicating with Inmarsat-4 satellites, which are communicating with Inmarsat land earth stations linked to terrestrial networks.

  • In addition, with respect to BGAN Service leases, Inmarsat, with respect to Clause 4.7, shall apply only the provisions of sub Clauses 4.7 (c) and (d) (taking into account any military or security considerations), and to the extent appropriate to BGAN Service leases, the provisions of Clause 5.1.

  • As indicated in the SRS the CN comprises of the relevant equipment for the: • SAS Serving Network • BGAN Home Network • SAS Transit Network This SOW is also applicable to the BGAN Service Management Architecture (SMA) subsystem that represents a service creation and delivery platform for BGAN services.

  • Inmarsat BGAN Service is provided via Inmarsat land earth stations and network connectivity through Inmarsat.
