Must have a working knowledge of local bylaws and City of Kamloops Fire Prevention Bylaw, Fire Services Act of BC, BC Fire Code Regulations, BC Building Code, and NFPA Standards.
The user and all participants will observe and comply with all municipal, city, district, provincial and federal by-laws and regulations such as the BC Fire Code.
The Band or the City may from time to time, as it considers necessary, install other fire hydrants within the Reserve Area, which hydrants will be installed and inspected by a qualified professional in accordance with the B.C. Fire Code and may require a final approval inspection by the City, and which will be owned or deemed to be owned by the Band.
The Contractor will only conduct hot work in accordance with the BC Fire Code, NFPA 51B and NFPA 241.
When necessary for players to drop off equipment prior to ice times, equipment must be stored in compliance with BC Fire Code and ensure that no exits, walkways are blocked.
The Lessee shall in all respects abide by and comply with all applicable lawful rules, regulations and by-laws of the Federal Government, Provincial Government, Municipal Government or any other governing body whatsoever and with all local police, health, or fire regulations or by-laws, in any manner affecting the Leased Premises including all City or provincial regulations and bylaws, including, but not limited to the City’s building bylaws, City fire bylaws, BC Building Code and BC Fire Code.
The Band will provide the land required for those additional hydrants and ensure that the Band has the necessary legal right to place its hydrants at those locations, all as may be regulated by the B.C. Building Code, the B.C. Fire Code and applicable bylaws of the City.
The Contractor will provide fire extinguishers in quantities, types and sizes appropriate for the fire related risks within the Contractor’s Work Area and in compliance with OSH Standard 505 – “Fire Protection Program”, the BC Fire Code, and NFPA 10 [Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers].
