Batch/Bulk Decisions definition
Batch/Bulk Decisions means a unit of work (measured in blocks of 500,000 records per 4-hour segment) to reach a judgment (for example, determining the best offer to include in an email campaign to be sent to a segment of customers). The processing time is counted from the time the decision batch process starts to the time it takes to complete processing, excluding the time to pre-process data before the batch run and the time to post process the output records and send/ship them to a fulfillment system. All batch/bulk processing must be configured by the customer to complete in a time window under 4 hours.
Batch/Bulk Decisions is a collection of units of work to reach a judgment (for example, determining the best offer to include in an email campaign to be sent to customers) and execute upon that judgement (for example, the delivery of the message to the email or SMS service provider). The collection of units of work are measured in number of records that can be processed within a day. Each individual unit of work must be configured by the Client to complete in a time window under 100 milliseconds. The time to pre-process data before the batch run and the time to post process and ship the identified treatments outside of Pega is excluded from the 100 milliseconds time window.
