Basic Transportation definition

Basic Transportation means the safe and convenient transportation of any and all pupils who are designated by DISTRICT to be transported between school and a point reasonably close to the pupils' homes. Such transportation shall be provided for each and every day that school is convened and in accordance with bus routes and schedules submitted by CONTRACTOR to DISTRICT and approved by DISTRICT.
Basic Transportation means the safe and convenient transportation of any and all students who are designated by the District to be transported between school and a point reasonably close to the students’ homes. Such transportation shall be provided for each and every day that school is convened, and in accordance with bus route maps, schedules, and routes submitted by Contractor to the District and approved by the District.

The Contractor shall not be obligated to discharge pupils in traffic patterns which it considers unsafe. Additional charges may result where loading or unloading of pupils in the designated areas are delayed due to traffic.

Examples of Basic Transportation in a sentence

  • Basic Transportation Routes are determined by the Transportation Supervisor.

  • Said dispatcher, or an equally qualified substitute, shall be on duty at central dispatch at all times when Basic Transportation services are being performed hereunder.

  • With respect to Basic Transportation, not later than the fifth working day after the end of each month during the term of this Agreement, CONTRACTOR will submit to DISTRICT a statement of its services rendered during the preceding month.

  • CONTRACTOR'S central dispatch shall also be in direct radio or telephone contact with DISTRICT'S Transportation Director or his/her designee, at all times when Basic Transportation services are being provided hereunder.

  • CONTRACTOR shall, during the term of this Agreement, supply and maintain such number of school buses and personnel as are requested to fulfill DISTRICT'S needs for "Basic Transportation" and "Supplemental Transportation" as defined below.

More Definitions of Basic Transportation

Basic Transportation means the safe and convenient transportation of any and all students who are designated by District to be transported between school and a point reasonably close to the students' homes. Basic transportation is considered daily to and from school transportation. This may include, but not limited to, midday runs, inter-school runs, vocational and technical education runs, and summer school runs. Such transportation shall be provided for each and every day that school is convened and in accordance with bus routes and schedules as generated and approved by District. During the term of this Agreement , the school year shall consist of a minimum of 172 school days. If the number of scheduled days is increased or decreased, the Contractor shall be paid for the number of days transported.
Basic Transportation means the safe and convenient transportation of any and all pupils who are designated by SCHOOL to be transported between a point reasonably close to the pupils’ homes and the school and returned to that same point on the same day, but in no instance shall any bus be permitted to pick-up or drop-off students while on a public thoroughfare. Such transportation shall be provided for each and every day that school is convened during its regular 180 day school year and in accordance with bus routes and schedules established by SCHOOL and based on the SCHOOL funding available to provide Basic Transportation.

Related to Basic Transportation

  • Public transportation means that term as defined in section 10c of Act No. 51 of the Public Acts of 1951, being section 247.660c of the Michigan Compiled Laws.

  • Domestic Transportation means air transportation between points in Canada, from and to the same point in Canada or between Canada and a point outside Canada that is not in the territory of another country.

  • Air transportation means the public carriage by aircraft of passengers, baggage, cargo, and mail, separately or in combination, for remuneration or hire;

  • Public transportation system means all facilities, conveyances and instrumentalities, whether publicly or privately owned, that are used in or for publicly available services for the transportation of persons or cargo.
