Basic Security definition

Basic Security. User is responsible for maintaining the basic security of its computer system and to prevent its use by others in a manner that violates these Terms. Examples include: improperly securing a mail server so others can use it to distribute spam; improperly securing an FTP server so that it may be used by others to illegally distribute licensed software or media content. User is responsible for taking corrective actions on vulnerable or exploited systems to prevent continued abuse.

Examples of Basic Security in a sentence

  • There are three levels of classification: Basic Security Officer, Intermediate Security Officer and Advanced Security Officer which are defined in clause 1.5 (Definitions) of this Agreement.

  • The MCS should adhere to the Web Services Interoperability Organization Basic Profile version 1.1, and Basic Security Profile version 1.0. The MCS should support multiple languages and multiple currencies.

  • If you have subscribed to a Service Plan that includes a Monitoring Service (Basic Security, Interactive Security, Interactive Video & Security), upon installation the System shall be connected to an independent monitoring facility (the “Center”) and monitoring service will be provided pursuant to the terms of this agreement.

  • The employer will reimburse employees for their annual Basic Security License renewal.

  • Section 1: Any new hire Employee shall be deemed to be on probation for a period of ninety (90) calendar days worked on the site upon completion of new hire training to include Basic Security Police Officer Training (BSPOT) and on the job training (OJT).

  • Landlord shall have no liability in connection with the decision whether or not to provide security services in addition to the Basic Security Services and Tenant hereby waives all claims based thereon.

Related to Basic Security

  • Public security means a bond, note, or other obligation for the payment of money, issued by this state or by any of its departments, agencies, institutions, or other instrumentalities, or by any of its political subdivisions.

  • Synthetic Security A security or swap transaction, other than a Participation Interest, that has payments associated with either payments of interest on and/or principal of a reference obligation or the credit performance of a reference obligation.

  • Quasi-Security means an arrangement or transaction described in paragraph (b) below.

  • Indexed Security means a Security the terms of which provide that the principal amount thereof payable at Stated Maturity may be more or less than the principal face amount thereof at original issuance.

  • Covered Security means a security as defined in Section 2(a)(36) of the Act, which includes: any note, stock, treasury stock, security future, bond, debenture, evidence of indebtedness, certificate of interest or participation in any profit-sharing agreement, collateral-trust certificate, pre-organization certificate or subscription, transferable share, investment contract, voting-trust certificate, certificate of deposit for a security, fractional undivided interest in oil, gas, or other mineral rights, any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege on any security (including a certificate of deposit) or on any group or index of securities (including any interest therein or based on the value thereof), or any put, call, straddle, option, or privilege entered into on a national securities exchange relating to foreign currency, or, in general, any interest or instrument commonly known as a “security,” or any certificate of interest or participation in, temporary or interim certificate for, receipt for, guarantee of, or warrant or right to subscribe to or purchase, any of the foregoing.
