Basic 911 Service definition

Basic 911 Service means the ability to route an emergency call to the designated entity authorized to receive such calls serving the Customer’s registered or user-provided address. With basic 911, the emergency operator answering the phone will not have access to the caller’s telephone number or address information unless the caller provides such information verbally during the emergency call.

Basic 911 Service means that level of service sufficient to qualify as the minimum level of 911 Ambulance Service under law, which service is defined herein as that twenty-four (24) hours-a-day, seven (7) days-per-week service necessary to accommodate one fully licensed and stocked ambulance with a staff of two (2) licensed AEMTs who are authorized to operate within the geographical boundaries of a Fire District. Operation of the Basic 911 Service shall be in accordance with Utah Admin. Rule, R-426-4.

Examples of Basic 911 Service in a sentence

  • Depending upon their geographic location, certain Customers do not have access to either E911 Service or Basic 911 Service.

  • If Customer does not have access to either E911 Service or Basic 911 Service, emergency calls placed using the digits 9-1-1 will be sent to a national emergency call center.

  • The Service includes either E911 Service (or Basic 911 Service under certain circumstances) if, and only if; the call’s originating ANI is a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number.

  • Like Basic 911 Service, the trained operators answering calls in the national call center will not have automatic access to the caller’s telephone number or Registered Address because the national call center will not be equipped to receive, capture or retain Customer’s telephone number and/or Registered Address.

  • In limited circumstances, callers equipped with Basic 911 Service based on their geographic location may have their calls routed to the national call center as described above.

  • The Bundled Voice Service includes either E911 Service (or Basic 911 Service under certain circumstances) if, and only if, the call’s originating ANI is a 911 Enabled Two-Way Number.

  • E911 Service is not available from all local emergency centers; the determination of whether E911 Service, Basic 911 Service or national call center service will apply generally is not controlled by Bandwidth.

  • E-911 and Basic 911 Provisions Vendor will provide to Customer Enhanced 911 Service and/or Basic 911 Service call routing to the appropriate PSAP.

  • As additional local emergency centers become capable of E911 Service, Bandwidth will automatically upgrade Customer from Basic 911 Service to E911 Service.

  • If Provider has agreed to provide 911 Services to Customer for PSAPs that Provider is only supporting Basic 911 Service for, then Provider will only be obligated to provide Basic 911 Service and not E911 Service.

Basic 911 Service means a telephone service that automatically connects a person dialing the three-digit number 911 to an established public safety answering point through normal telephone service facilities.

  • 911 Service means a universal telephone number which gives the public direct access to the Public Safety Answering Point (“PSAP”). Basic 911 service collects 911 calls from one or more local exchange switches that serve a geographic area. The calls are then sent to the correct authority designated to receive such calls.

  • Enhanced 911 Service (“E911”) means a telephone communication service which will automatically route a call dialed “9-1-1” to a designated public safety answering point (PSAP) attendant and will provide to the attendant the calling party’s telephone number and, when possible, the address from which the call is being placed and the Emergency Response agencies responsible for the location from which the call was dialed.
