Back-flow definition

Back-flow means the flow of water or other liquids, mixtures or substances into the distributing pipes of a potable supply of water system from any source or sources other than its intended source.
Back-flow means any reversal of the normal flow of water from the distribution system that may allow contamination or pollution of the public water supply and render it nonpotable.
