Awaaz definition

Awaaz which means 'the voice of proclamation', began as a newsletter for the Eastern Action Club of Africa (EACA) with family partners; Zahid Rajan and Zarina Patel as founding directors, contributors and editors. It provides a forum for business people to speak out against racism and unfair business practices after multi-party democracy was established in Kenya in 1992 (http://www.awaaz.co.ke).
