Average Hourly Rate definition

Average Hourly Rate means the rate used in calculating premium pay. This rate is determined by taking the average of earnings including wage rate, COLA, and shift premium, for all hours worked in the payroll week. The determination of this rate does not include earnings for hours paid due to Bereavement, Jury Service, Holiday and Volunteer Emergency Worker Duty.
Average Hourly Rate means that rate calculated weekly over the thirteen weeks immediately preceding the current pay period. Overtime hours are not included in regular hours. The rate over the thirteen weeks is comprised of regular incentive dollars, regular time worked dollars and dollar adjustments. The average hourly rate is calculated by gross regular earnings, as referred to above, divided by total regular hours.
Average Hourly Rate means the weighted average hourly rate based on the hourly rate(s) applicable to the provision of the Services as set out in a Service Order during a given Service Order Year, calculated as follows by way of this working example: if the hourly rate from 1 February 2026 to 31 August 2026 is $3/hour and from 1 September 2026 to 30 January 2027 changes to $4/hour, the Average Hourly Rate shall be ($3 x 7 months + $4 x 5 months) / 12 months = $3.41/hour.
