Automated Universal Data definition
Automated Universal Data. , or “AUD”, means an automated, online form that Data Furnishers use to transmit interim maintenance requests to update or delete previously reported accounts. An AUD is designed to be used by Data Furnishers if: a Consumer files a dispute with the Registrant (as specified in Section 623(a)(8) of the FCRA) and the Data Furnisher must investigate and respond prior to its normal reporting cycle; the Data Furnisher determines that the data reported is not complete or accurate and determines it is necessary to report the information in the interim period (as specified in Section 623(a)(2)(B) of the FCRA); and the Data Furnisher needs to report a change that has occurred in an account prior to its next normal reporting cycle.
