Author’s Work definition

Author’s Work means any result of the Contractor’s activity created while carrying out Modifications under this Contract, which shows the characteristics of work protected under the Copyright Act.

Examples of Author’s Work in a sentence

  • The Provider hereby grants consent with the publication of previously unpublished Author’s Work.

  • The Provider hereby gives express consent to the Client to alter, otherwise interfere with, continue to develop, put final additions (complete unfinished Author’s Work), modify, process, make publicly available, include in or combine the Author's Work (or its parts) with other Author’s Work/elements, either on their own or through an authorised third party.

  • The Client is authorised to use the Author’s Work for both commercial and non-commercial purposes.

  • The Client is entitled to make the Author’s Work publicly available under their name.

  • If the Publisher fails to comply (unless the failure is due to circumstances beyond the Publisher’s control), or if Publisher does not desire to keep the Author’s Work in print, then this Agreement shall terminate and all rights shall revert to Author.

  • If, during the term of this Agreement, any person or entity makes unauthorized use of Author’s Work, it is the sole responsibility of Author to take legal action as may be required to restrain such wrong or to seek damages.

  • The Preamble above, the Author’s Work, the documents and information provided by the Author to support their request, as well as any appendixes attached, form an integral and indivisible part of this Contract.

  • Author wishes to work with Publisher in finalizing and publishing Author’s Work.

  • TP does not guarantee that Author’s Work is commercially viable or that it will sell in any of the formats requested.

  • The size of Author’s Work will be determined by Publisher based upon the word count and what will enhance the appearance of the Book.
