Authorized Drivers definition

Authorized Drivers whose names appear on the "Rental Agreement", where the “Renter” has complied with paragraphs, A.1.a., b., and c. above.
Authorized Drivers as defined herein. Who Is An Authorized Driver ■ Any driver who does not meet one of the conditions above is not an “authorized driver,” even if: • That driver had the permission of an “insured”; or • That driver is covered by the “underlying insurer” for the “minimum financial responsibility liability limits.” Limit Of Insurance Regardless of the number of “insureds,” “rental vehicles,” premiums paid, claims made or vehicles involved in the “accident,” for each “rental agreement” the most we will pay for the “ultimate net loss,” resulting from any one “accident,” is the difference between the dollar amount shown in the Declarations and the “minimum financial responsibility liability limits.” Exclusions This insurance does not apply to any of the following: ■ “Bodily injury” or “property damagearising out of the use, or permitting the use, of a “rental vehicle”: • By any driver other than the “renter” or an “authorized driver”; • By any driver while under the influence of drugs or alcohol; • For any illegal purpose; • To carry persons or property for hire; • To tow or propel any other auto; • In any race, contest or training activity; • Off-road or on unpaved roads that are not regularly maintained; or • By any violation of the “rental agreement.” ■ Any loss, cost or expense payable under or resulting from any first party physical damage coverage; no-fault law; personal injury protection or auto medical payments coverage; or unin sured or underinsured motorist law; or any similar law, in any jurisdiction. ■ “Bodily injury” to “renter” or any “family member,” if such “family member” resides in the same household with the “renter” and any “authorized driver” while driving the “rental vehicle.” ■ “Property damage” to the “rental vehicle.” ■ “Bodily injury” or “property damage” expected or intended from the standpoint of the “insured.”
Authorized Drivers a. in the U.S., Renter’s spouse or domestic partner; and b. in the U.S., Renter’s employer, employees or co-workers while engaged in a business activity with Renter. Only when required by applicable law, valet parking attendants while parking the Vehicle at a commercial establishment or anyone operating the Vehicle during an imminent life-threatening emergency are also “Authorized Drivers.” ALL DRIVERS MUST BE AUTHORIZED BY BUDGET! RENTER IS FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR INJURY AND DAMAGE CAUSED BY UNAUTHORIZED DRIVERS! IN THE U.S., ADDITIONAL DRIVERS CAN ONLY BE AUTHORIZED BY BUDGET BY PROCEEDING THROUGH A STANDARD RENTAL TRANSACTION AT THE RENTAL COUNTER PRIOR TO PICKING UP THE VEHICLE. Valid driver’s license and demonstration of financial responsibility, which includes an honored credit card, shall be required of all additional drivers. IN CANADA, RENTER’S SPOUSE, DOMESTIC PARTNERS RENTER’S EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEES OR CO-WORKERS WHILE ENGAGED IN A BUSINESS ACTIVITY WITH RENTER, CAN BE AUTHORIZED BY BUDGET AS AUTHORIZED DRIVERS UNDER THIS AGREEMENT ONLY WHEN NAMED AT TIME OF RESERVATION OR PRIOR TO TIME OF VEHICLE RENTAL. OTHERWISE, ALL ADDITIONAL DRIVERS, INCLUDING RENTER’S SPOUSE, RENTER’S EMPLOYER, EMPLOYEES OR CO-WORKERS CAN ONLY BE AUTHORIZED BY BUDGET BY PROCEEDING THROUGH A STANDARD RENTAL TRANSACTION AT THE RENTAL COUNTER PRIOR TO PICKING UP THE VEHICLE.

Authorized Drivers. I will not offer or give a ride to any client, nor drive any H4H vehicle, unless I am an H4H Approved Driver. “Approved Driver” means a person who has been approved by the H4H Volunteer Services & Life Safety Departments and H4H’s insurer, as a driver of H4H vehicles. If I am an Approved Driver, I agree to: (a) comply at all times with the H4H Vehicle Use Policy (on the H4H intranet) in connection with activities at or for H4H; (b) immediately notify the H4H Life Safety Director if my license is suspended or revoked; (c) maintain my personal auto liability insurance as required by state law and will provide proof of such insurance to H4H on request; and (d) transport H4H clients solely at the direction of H4H staff, solely in H4H vehicles; and always with the accompaniment of another H4H volunteer or staff member. WAIVER OF LIABILITY: I UNDERSTAND THERE MAY BE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING AS AN H4H VOLUNTEER. BY CHOOSING TO PARTICIPATE, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM ASSUMING THOSE RISKS ON BEHALF OF MYSELF. Authorized Drivers means the Renter(s) and any additional person(s) allowed to operate the vehicle that tows the Vehicle at any time. It is ▇▇▇▇▇▇’s responsibility to ensure that each Authorized Driver has throughout the term of the Agreement a valid driver's license and is at least 25 years of age. Only Authorized Drivers are permitted to drive the towing vehicle. ▇▇▇▇▇▇(s) agree that, in addition to each Authorized Driver’s responsibility and liability for its own acts and omissions, ▇▇▇▇▇▇(s) are jointly and severally responsible and liable for the acts and omissions of each Authorized Driver in relation to their operation of the towing vehicle.
