Authority Levels. The individual Adjuster’s authority levels must be adhered to for the reserving of files. The Adjuster must make and document a reserve request escalation to the next level when reserve levels have been, or are expected to be, exceeded. MEDICARE REPORTING‌ Medicare Query data should be requested from injured Claimant(s) or their Representative(s) upon first contact, and the request should be confirmed in writing if the data is not immediately supplied. Within ten (10) calendar days of receiving the requested information, it must be provided to the Medicare Reporting Specialist for inclusion in the next monthly submission. The Adjuster should also notify the Medicare Reporting Specialist upon payment, or closure without payment, of any medical payments or bodily injury claim for an individual that has been documented as Medicare Eligible through the Query process.
