national authority means an approval authority or any other authority involved in and responsible for market surveillance, border control or registration in a Member State in respect of vehicles, systems, components, separate technical units, parts or equipment;
Antitrust Authority means the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice or the United States Federal Trade Commission.
Regional authority means the Director General of Foreign Trade appointed under section 6 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992) or an officer authorised by him to grant an authorisation including a duty credit scrip under the said Act.
Central Authority means the entity designated by the United States or a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.
Regulatory Law means the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the Xxxxxxx Act, as amended, the HSR Act, the Federal Trade Commission Act, as amended, and all other federal, state and foreign, if any, statutes, rules, regulations, orders, decrees, administrative and judicial doctrines and other laws that are designed or intended to prohibit, restrict or regulate actions having the purpose or effect of monopolization or restraint of trade or lessening of competition through merger or acquisition.
County authority means the board of county commissioners,
Authority Having Jurisdiction means a federal, state, local, or other regional department, or an individual such as a fire marshal, building official, electrical inspector, utility provider or other individual having statutory authority.
enforcement authority means any person or body having jurisdiction to enforce or to take action under or in respect of the relevant legal requirement.
Control authority means either:
Government Authority means any nation or government or any province or state or any other political subdivision thereof, or any entity, authority or body exercising executive, legislative, judicial, regulatory or administrative functions of or pertaining to government, including any government authority, agency, department, board, commission or instrumentality or any political subdivision thereof, any court, tribunal or arbitrator, and any self-regulatory organization or national or international stock exchange on which the securities of the applicable Party or its Affiliates are listed;
Governmental Antitrust Authority has the meaning set forth in Section 5.11(b).
Governmental Authority means the government of the United States or any other nation, or of any political subdivision thereof, whether state or local, and any agency, authority, instrumentality, regulatory body, court, central bank or other entity exercising executive, legislative, judicial, taxing, regulatory or administrative powers or functions of or pertaining to government (including any supra-national bodies such as the European Union or the European Central Bank).
Governing authority means the local legislative authority
public authority means any authority or body or institution of self- government established or constituted—
local authority means the council of a municipality that is a city, town or shire constituted under the Local Government Xxx 0000;
Approval Authority means the authority of a Member State with competence for all aspects of the approval of a type of vehicle, system, component or separate technical unit or of the individual approval of a vehicle; for the authorisation process, for issuing and, if appropriate, withdrawing approval certificates; for acting as the contact point for the approval authorities of other Member States; for designating the technical services and for ensuring that the manufacturer meets his obligations regarding the conformity of production;
Water Authority means the body corporate known as the Water Authority of Western Australia established by the Water Authority Xxx 0000;
prescribed authority means the authorities specified in Rule 12 of Plastic Waste Management and Handling Rules, 2016, and Commissioner, Municipal Corporations, Chief Executive Officer/Executive Officer, Urban Local Bodies ;
Host Authority means the local authority appointed by the Parties under these arrangements to lead on a specified matter or function as set out in paragraphs 14 and 19.
your authority ("eich awdurdod") means the relevant authority of which you are a member or co-opted member.
Governmental or Regulatory Authority means any court, tribunal, arbitrator, authority, agency, commission, official or other instrumentality of the United States, any foreign country or any domestic or foreign state, county, city or other political subdivision.
Legislative authority means, with respect to a regional transit authority, the board of trustees thereof, and with respect to a county that is a transit authority, the board of county commissioners.
Football Authority means each of the Premier League, The Football League, The Football Association, The Football Association of Wales, FIFA, UEFA and other relevant governing body of association football.
Appeal authority means the executive authority of the municipality or any other body or institution outside of the municipality authorised by that municipality to assume the obligations of an appeal authority for purposes of appeals lodged in terms of the Act;
Legislature means the Legislature of Singapore;
statutory authority means Central or State Government, quasi-Government, administrative, judicial, public or statutory body, department, instrumentality, agency, authority, board entrusted with and carrying any statutory functions, as required from time to time in connection with performance by the Preferred Bidder of its obligations hereunder;
